Bob Saget, comedian and star of Full House, dies at 65

Bob Saget, a popular American comedian, actor and TV host, was found dead in his Orlando, Florida hotel room on Sunday. TMZ was the first to report the news.

Saget was most famous for playing Danny Tanner on the ABC sitcom Full House, and hosted America’s Funniest Home Videos between 1989 and 1997. According to TMZ, he was found by police in his hotel room around 4 pm ET and declared died soon after.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the news via Twitter. There’s no confirmed cause of death yet, but according to the tweet, detectives found “no signs of crime or drug use.”

Saget was in the midst of a stand-up tour called the I Don’t Do Negative tour. He recently tweeted Sunday morning, celebrating a concert in Jacksonville.

Tributes have already started pouring in from fellow artists and shocked fans. “Truly one of the coolest guys and very funny,” tweeted comedian Marc Maron. Added Jon Stewart, “Just the funniest and coolest.”

John Stamos, who starred alongside him in Full House, also left a tribute. “I’m broken. I’m gutted,” he said. “I’m in complete and utter shock. I’ll never have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby.”
